wow wow wow, your work is breath taking! I mean that whole heartily
Wow! Thank you! :) That means a lot!
I haven’t been posting because I’m still trying to get used to my work schedule and on top of that I’ve been extremely sick, but I should get better by Wednesday so I’ll start posting again. I made tumblr radar today and I still can’t believe it. This is the second time I reach radar and I was confused because I thought I could only reach tumblr radar once… guess not. I’ll always thank tumblr because it’s here where I started getting my work out there and it’s here where you all found my work and decided to follow me. Thank you tumblr, thank you to all the blogs that accepted my submissions, and thank you all for following along. Without your support I wouldn’t get noticed and I wouldn’t be getting my work out there. Thank you!
I guess I’m at that point in my 365 project where I expect every photo to be flawless and well thought off and if I don’t achieve that I rather not post. I’m not even half way through this project so some of you may think it is too soon for me think that way. I suppose you’re right and I expect too much of myself when I don’t even have the resources. I was too focused on what other photographers were achieving that I forgot to focus on the things that I want to achieve. I sort of got lost and I wanted my 365 to be filled with beautiful creative photos… photos that you guys would love and enjoy. For a while this project stopped being fun and started being a competition for me to outdo myself each day. I believe that’s what this project is about, to outdo myself each day, but I’m also suppose to enjoy this and grow each day… after all I’m suppose to love this if I plan on turning it into a career. For those of you who want to start a 365 project, have fun with it and really enjoy the process of creating. There’s always going to be the urge to outdo yourself as you start getting interviews and as your work gets out there, but don’t push yourself to the point that photography stops being fun.
I wasn’t sure where I was going with that, I guess I was just frustrated because I’m not creating that images I want to do and also my new job is taking all my time away from me and on top of that I woke up sick!
This isn’t part of my 365, I just felt like editing this photo and posting it. I’m off today so I’ll post something for my 365.
Falling into nowhere.
Happy thanksgiving! Even though most you are done eating. This may sound cheesy and I probably say it a lot, but I really am thankful for every single one you. All your support! I give thanks to that and many other things. I hope you have a lovely time with your family and loved ones and please try to be thankful everyday, not just once a year. Life is too short and we have to appreciate what we have while it lasts.
I had to work today so I put this together because I don’t want to miss more days. I quite my part time job today!!! and it felt awesome!!! :D but I have to work there until Sunday. Tomorrow I work at my new job and on the weekend I have to work on both sooooo I have a busy schedule, but I’ll try to shoot something!
GOOD NEWS! I HAVE A JOB! :D
I applied at this Japanese restaurant and I got a call today to go in for an interview and I got the job! I was so happy until I realized that I have school and my 365 project… This doesn’t mean I’m going to postpone my 365, it just means I’ll post late at night or next day in the morning. I’m not sure when I’ll have my day off, but I do know that I’ll be working 5 days a week from 12pm - 8pm so I have no idea what I’m going to photograph at night. I’m super happy because now I’ll have money to buy props and hopefully start photographing the ideas I have sketched. I’m so excited to take it to the next level and I hope you guys will still follow along. I just thought I would let you all know because I don’t want anyone to think that I gave up, it’s just going to be a bit hard to juggle 3 things. I start tomorrow after school! Wish me luck :) Now I’m off to update Facebook and Flickr.
I’m really happy with this one! I had no idea how to start editing it, but I knew that I wanted to do something surreal and with big clouds. I’m going to start experimenting more! I’ll update my Facebook and flickr tomorrow.
Make Believe Part 3
I didn’t post yesterday because it was my birthday and I had to party hard! aha Actually I just went out to eat and to the theater. I came home from work late so all I could really do was a silhouette (again) I feel like the majority of my photos for November/December will be silhouettes because of the time change. It sucks!
Where did you learn how to edit! I am having a hard time working with Photoshop because there are so many tools and things to do, I often get lost!
I would play around with the tools a lot and that made it easier for me. The more I played and experimented, the more my brain started remembering what each tool does. I’m taking a Photoshop class, but honestly that doesn’t really help me at all because the teacher is just going by the book and I could have done that. I pretty much learned by watching tutorials on YouTube. Phlearn is an amazing site to learn Photoshop and it has awesome tutorials! I recommend it! It’s free, but they also sell individual more in depth tutorials. If you have $25 to spare each month you can become a member at Lynda.com, they have tutorials for each version of Photoshop and it’s super helpful. If you buy the $40 membership you can download the exercise files so you can edit along with the tutorial video. I hope this helps. Best of luck! :)
Happy birthday, hoe-ness! Lol I love you, have another great year! :D
Awww thanks! :D I’m surprised I didn’t break my hip when I woke up today aha love you too! :)
Holy crap! I love your photography and editng so much and the ah! Its go great! Keep it going! (:
Thanks so much! :) It means a lot! ah! lol
Make Believe Part 2.
This is one too many silhouettes in a row, but I hope I’m not boring you with them. I do try to make them different and interesting.
