I was just looking through your pictures (like a creeper, I know) but I reached the collection with the "blood" hand across your face and I remember discovering you through that like a year ago and wow...you've seriously come such a long way. It's gorgeous. You're gorgeous. I'm inspired.

Thank you so much! It’s crazy that you have been following me for a year now. I can’t thank you enough for supporting my photography and for getting me out there more. I’ll post soon, I’m just trying to figure out some things first.
Thank you :)

flippermood asked:

What are you majoring in? Good bye and I hope to see your work soon...

I wanted to major in Photography, but now I realize I enjoy the editing process more than photographing. I’ll probably major in something that has to do with Photoshop or computer graphics. I’m still a bit indecisive because I want to major in something that will pay good, but I also want to major in something I like. I’ll either be poor and happy, or rich and miserable.
Thank you! I’ll post some new work very soon. I just have a lot of things I need to figure out first.

Goodbye, for now.

I apologize for being inactive for such a long time, I just couldn’t make time. Anyway, I want to let everyone know that I won’t be finishing my 365 project. I am very proud to have made it to day 157 and I am more than amazed at how much I improved. The whole point of me starting a 365 project was NOT to improve or gain any sort of popularity/audience. I started it to get distracted and to kill time. A very good friend of mine passed away back in 2012 and his death really messed me up, both physically and emotionally. I started this 365 project because I wanted to fill my days with something other than sorrow. This project became like self therapy for me and it helped me heal, and I realized that’s all I ever wanted. To heal. I am no longer sad or have any suicidal thoughts, I beat depression. You all helped me beat depression. Thank you.
I am not going away forever, I promise. I just really need to focus on working my butt off! I need a degree that will support my lifestyle before I become a starving artist. I still have a sketch book full of concepts that I plan on photographing in the near future (very soon actually) so I’m excited to see where that will take me. I just can’t afford to take a photo every single day, for now.

Thank you for supporting my work and for taking the time to message me. I can’t thank you all enough for making me the artist/person I am today. You all gave me the confidence I needed to create and to live a little. I plan on leaving my name in the Photography industry one day and I’ll be back with a bang and with the confidence you all helped me build. I’m a conceited bitch so you know I won’t be absent forever.

Take care for now my lovely followers!
I’ll still be active on tumblr, I just won’t post so feel free to message me stuff.

I absolutely love all your work, but day 9 and day 12 are my favorite. They're amazing and I feel them in my soul in completely opposite ways. Please don't feel sad anymore, you can't leave this earth bc the world needs your talent. You are amazing.

I can’t believe you went all the way to day 1! Thank you! You’re awesome.
This is probably one of my favorite messages ever. It means a lot that you care, I’m just a bit speechless right now.
I’ve decided NOT to leave this earth and by that I mean I decided not to commit suicide. I lost a very special friend back in 2012. I can’t really explain how close we were and what he means to me. I never really talked about this because it was a difficult topic for me. I got depressed and isolated myself for half a year and well, now I’m here. He was the reason why I started a 365 project. This project became like self therapy for me and it kept me distracted from being depressed. Yes, I’ve lagged this project, but only because life gets in the way. Eventually I’ll finish it lol

Thank you so much for this sweet message. I’m sorry for the super late reply. I’ve been a bit busy.
Thanks for following along! :)

Hi! I love your blog and I've been following for a while. I have a question. Which youtube tutori did you watch to make the picture of Untitled.
156/365 It amazing! Xx

Thank you so much for following along!
I used THIS TUTORIAL to open my head in Photoshop!
The video doesn’t really explain the steps so you might have to pause it a lot. That’s what I had to do! Best of luck! :)

Hi Alejandro, your work is amazing. I find it truly captivating and inspiring. I was just wondering if I could get your opinion on something. I've been taking photos for a couple of years now and want to start a blog/website for them but I don’t really have a specific style of photo/shoot a specific subject. Do you think that’s something that’s important in a photographer’s work?

Thank you so much! Messages like this keep me going and it makes me happy to be inspiring other artists.
2 years ago I was photographing animals, nature, architecture and people. Then eventually I turned to Conceptual Photography and I found a style I fell in love with. I believe eventually you’ll find your style, the more you photograph the more you, the artist, will know what you want.
If you don’t find your style and are still photographing different subjects, that’s totally fine. You can become a Freelance Photographer and focus on photographing a variety of things. That will also open more job opportunities because you won’t just focus on a specific subject. You’ll be open to photograph anything!
I checked out your work and if you are planning on starting a blog make sure to organize all your photos. Portraits with portraits and nature with nature… stuff like that. Be organized so when people check out your work they can easily navigate your page and see all the subjects you are able to photograph. Check out Pixel Union for some cool Photography themes. I’m looking forward to seeing all your work. Best of luck! :)

Aviation High 155/365 I babysit from morning until 9pm. I haven’t had time to photograph. I have tried photographing while babysitting my sister and it just doesn’t really work out. She’s one so I really have to keep my eye on her. I decided to photograph before my mom goes to work so that means I’ll be waking up at 5 or 6 (depending on the concept) Anyways that’s why I haven’t been uploading, but I really want to finish this project so I’ll willing to wake up that early.
